Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

Situated against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, this magnificent, and world-renowned 528-hectare botanical garden is a must on your itinerary.  A network of paths and trails take us through a live collection of more than 25 000 indigenous plant species of Southern Africa, growing in a beautiful 36-hectare landscaped garden. 

See spectacular displays of annuals and perennials, Proteas, Ericas, Restios, Aloes, Mesembs, Pelargoniums, a fragrance garden, the useful plants garden, Cycads, forest trees, the remains of the original wild almond hedge planted by Jan van Riebeeck in 1660, and many more.
